Product Overview

The HY-D Series features a double-diaphragm design with a leak-detection chamber between the inner and outer diaphragms. If the inner diaphragm ruptures, an alarm is triggered immediately, ensuring that toxic or hazardous media cannot escape into the environment. It represents the highest safety standard for handling dangerous chemicals.

Working Principle

A hydraulic oil system transmits force from the motor-driven plunger to the process diaphragm. The oil cushion ensures even pressure distribution, eliminating diaphragm stress concentration and extending service life. This design is preferred for high-pressure applications (up to 100 bar) and for dosing viscous or abrasive chemicals.

Power supply: 380 V AC / 3-phase (standard); 220 V AC available
Control input: 4–20 mA analog signal (proportional dosing)
Control input: 0–10 V or 4–20 mA for inverter speed control
Level alarm input: dry contact (NC/NO) for low-level shutdown

What makes a hydraulic diaphragm pump different from a mechanical diaphragm pump?+

Hydraulic diaphragm pumps use hydraulic oil to actuate the diaphragm, providing uniform pressure distribution and eliminating mechanical stress on the diaphragm. This enables higher operating pressures (up to 40 bar) and longer diaphragm life compared to mechanically actuated designs.

What is the maximum operating pressure?+

Up to 40 bar (4.0 MPa) depending on the model. The HYX and HYD series are designed for high-pressure chemical injection applications.

What liquid end materials are available for aggressive chemicals?+

SS316L, Hastelloy C, Titanium Alloy, and PVDF liquid end materials are available. PTFE diaphragms and valve seats provide excellent chemical resistance.

Can this pump be used for high-pressure injection into pipelines?+

Yes. Hydraulic diaphragm metering pumps are specifically designed for high-pressure injection applications such as scale inhibitor dosing, corrosion inhibitor injection, and chemical injection into pressurised pipelines.
