PAM Preparation & Dosing System
Automatic Polyacrylamide Dissolution and Dosing Unit for Flocculation
The TL-DS-PAM is a three-stage automatic polyacrylamide (PAM) preparation and dosing system. It automatically dissolves PAM powder, matures the solution to full molecular weight development, and doses the prepared flocculant at a precise, controlled rate. Designed for municipal wastewater treatment, sludge dewatering, and industrial effluent treatment.
Product Overview
Polyacrylamide (PAM) flocculant must be dissolved and matured before use — undissolved PAM particles are ineffective and can block injection lines. The TL-DS-PAM system automates the three-stage preparation process: dissolution (Stage 1), maturation (Stage 2), and dosing (Stage 3). Each stage uses a dedicated tank with an agitator, ensuring complete dissolution and consistent solution quality before dosing.
Working Principle
PAM powder is fed into Stage 1 (dissolution tank) via a screw feeder or manual hopper, where it is mixed with dilution water at a controlled water-to-powder ratio. The solution is transferred to Stage 2 (maturation tank) for a minimum 30–60 minute residence time to allow full molecular weight development. The matured solution flows by gravity or pump to Stage 3 (dosing tank), from which the metering pump draws and injects the flocculant at the required dosing point. Level sensors in each tank control the automatic transfer sequence.
