The TL-DS-POOL is a fully automatic swimming pool water treatment system that simultaneously controls pH (using CO₂ or H₂SO₄) and free chlorine (using NaOCl or liquid chlorine) via closed-loop PID control. The system maintains optimal water quality for bather safety and comfort while minimizing chemical consumption.
Product Overview
Swimming pool water quality is regulated by strict standards (WHO, EN 15288, GB 9667) that specify pH (7.2–7.6) and free chlorine (1.0–3.0 mg/L) ranges. Manual dosing is labor-intensive and prone to under- or over-treatment. The TL-DS-POOL system automates both pH and chlorine control, continuously monitoring water quality and adjusting chemical dosing rates in real time.
Working Principle
The system draws a continuous sample from the pool recirculation line through a flow-through measurement cell. Online pH and free chlorine sensors measure the water quality in real time. The PID controller compares measured values to setpoints and adjusts the respective metering pump dosing rates: the pH pump doses CO₂ gas (via a CO₂ injection system) or dilute H₂SO₄ to lower pH, or Na₂CO₃ to raise pH; the chlorine pump doses NaOCl solution to maintain the target free chlorine residual. All dosing is automatically suspended when the pool is unoccupied (via a timer or occupancy sensor).
