The system integrates a chemical-resistant storage tank, degassing metering pump, residual chlorine sensor, and PID controller to maintain a precise chlorine residual in the treated water.
Product Overview
Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl, bleach) is the most widely used disinfectant in water treatment, swimming pools, cooling towers, and municipal water supply. Accurate dosing is critical: under-dosing risks microbial contamination, while over-dosing generates harmful disinfection by-products (DBPs) and increases operating costs. The TL-DS-NAOCL system provides closed-loop chlorine residual control, automatically adjusting the dosing rate based on real-time chlorine measurement.
Working Principle
NaOCl solution (typically 10–12% available chlorine) is stored in a UV-resistant PE tank. A degassing metering pump (with built-in degassing valve) draws the solution and injects it into the water pipeline. An online free chlorine sensor continuously measures the residual chlorine concentration downstream of the injection point. The PID controller adjusts the pump dosing rate to maintain the target chlorine residual (e.g., 0.3–0.5 mg/L for drinking water, 1.0–3.0 mg/L for swimming pools).
