Request a QuoteProduct Overview
The TL-CL Series measures free chlorine and total chlorine in water distribution, disinfection control, and swimming pool applications. Uses constant voltage amperometric method. Low maintenance with long-life membrane electrode.
Working Principle
Electrochemical sensors measure ion activity or electrical properties of the liquid. A reference electrode and measuring electrode create a potential difference proportional to the ion concentration (pH/ORP), or an AC excitation signal is applied across electrodes to measure conductivity. Built-in NTC temperature compensation corrects readings across the full operating temperature range. RS485 Modbus RTU output transmits calibrated values directly to PLCs and SCADA systems.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this sensor measure free chlorine or total chlorine?+
The TL-CL Series is available in free chlorine and total chlorine versions. Free chlorine sensors are most common for drinking water and pool applications. Specify your requirement when ordering.
What is the measurement range?+
Free chlorine: 0–20 mg/L (ppm). Total chlorine: 0–20 mg/L. Accuracy is ±0.05 mg/L or ±5% FS.
Does the sensor require reagents?+
No. The TL-CL Series uses an amperometric membrane electrode measurement principle that requires no reagents, reducing operating costs and maintenance.
What is the recommended installation method?+
Flow-through installation with a constant flow rate of 0.3–0.8 L/min is recommended for stable readings. Submersion installation is also possible in low-turbulence environments.
Is this sensor suitable for drinking water applications?+
Yes. The TL-CL Series is designed for drinking water treatment, distribution network monitoring, and swimming pool disinfection control.
