Request a QuoteProduct Overview
The TL-DO Series uses fluorescence optical measurement for maintenance-free dissolved oxygen monitoring. Unlike traditional polarographic sensors, the optical principle requires no electrolyte replacement and has minimal drift over time. Ideal for aeration basin control and aquaculture.
Working Principle
Optical sensors use light-based measurement principles that eliminate the need for consumable reagents or electrolytes. Fluorescence optical DO sensors excite a luminophore coating with blue LED light; the returned red fluorescence signal is inversely proportional to dissolved oxygen concentration. Turbidity sensors transmit near-infrared light through the sample and measure the scattered light at 90°; the scatter intensity is proportional to suspended solids concentration. These principles provide stable, drift-free measurements with minimal maintenance requirements.
